Location

The actual topography of the Caulfield area, including its close surroundings and proximity to the water, is part of what makes this neighbourhood so highly coveted. Caulfield is the younger cousin of the British Properties, another prestigious region farther east on the North Shore. Those familiar with the British Properties will recognize the similarities in Caulfield in terms of architecture, community mentality, and legacy. Just to the south of Caulfield is lighthouse park, a jagged peninsula featuring a swath of hiking and walking trails as well as breathtaking views and of course, the Point Atkinson Lighthouse. Just to the east is Caulfield park which features similarly stunning views and even more trails to explore. To the Northwest is Eagle Harbour, home to the West Vancouver Marina. This area is also the base camp of both the West Vancouver Yacht Club and the Eagle Harbour Yacht Club, which in combination make Eagle Harbour the center point for boating, sailing, and any other water-related activities in all of West Vancouver. Luckily, the docks are a mere eight-minute drive from Caulfield. Just 5 minutes farther north and you’ll find yourself in Gleneagles, a neighbourhood which hosts the Gleneagles Golf Course and Clubhouse. Practice your swing out on the course, experience fine dining in the clubhouse, or even move just across the way to the West Vancouver Gleneagles Community Center and make use of their full gymnasium, weights, art, and dance facilities. Finally, highway 99 runs just above the crest of Caulfield’s border, so for those who need to venture into Vancouver Proper, to the North Shore, or anywhere else, it’s as easy as taking the on-ramp. Indeed, Caulfield’s location makes practically any location or desire effortless to reach.
